Multiplication - It's a Beautiful Thing

We would like to introduce you to the newest additions of our ministry team.  You have probably read about the Sanchez family multiple times in our other newsletters.  Well, now they are working together with us drilling water wells and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  With more and more opportunities opening up for us in Chiapas it was just a natural next step to find someone to help us continue the work when we cannot physically be there.  Who better than the people we were able to bring the gospel to and also disciple them?

From the very first day we met this family back in the fall of 2005, it has been God ordained.  We came into their community of Nachig just from a leading of the Holy Spirit, without knowing a soul and barely speaking Spanish.  Mr. Sanchez was the first one we met and he took us back to his home to meet his family.  As Gabe says, "their eyes were as big as saucers" as they saw this group of gringos coming to their house.  Then several months later we showed the "Jesus" film outside of their home and all of them, including some of their extended family made the decision to put their trust in Jesus.  That was only the beginning.

Since that time we have made repeated trips back to minister and disciple them.  We have watched and seen how the Holy Spirit has guided them and taught them along the way.  There was no Christian church in this community when we first went there.   They were literally left alone with Jesus.

Not to say it hasn't been a battle, quite the contrary.  They have had lots of obstacles to overcome.  At first they were afraid to publicly confess Christ fearing the repercussions that would come from family and friends.  They would read their Bibles together in the privacy of their home but didn't openly claim to be Christians.  Over the last year several things have happened, such as miraculous healings, and now God has brought them to a place of boldness in Him.  They are openly proclaiming the truth of Jesus to everyone they encounter.  Even though they are receiving resistance and persecution, they say they are blessed of God and it is true!

We have equipped them with a small, portable drilling rig and everything they need to drill, along with multiple ministry materials.  We want them to have every resource they need to do the work effectively.  They have already successfully drilled two wells and have shared Jesus with numerous people.  Now there is a small home church meeting in Nachig with about 30 people and it is growing.  God has sent a Mexican pastor from a neighboring town to help them continue to learn more about the Lord.  We can see how this was all planned and orchestrated by God.  To us, there is no greater joy than to see the Kingdom of God growing and multiplying!

What an awesome testimony of God's perfect plan. If you were not obedient to God's calling, these people would still be without Jesus.
Thanks for all you are doing!
